Plus if the Wing Car Nats do end up coming to Mid-America, I am sure a large number of locals will participate as well. During the USRA Nats, there were at least eight that participated in the amateur 4 inch NASCAR as well as other classes. Of those eight at least two finished in the top 10... We come to compete and I am sure we will turn out for these as well.

By the end of 2011, Mid-America will have yet another Gerding track in the raceway.

    Oh no death and distruction.

Only problem I see with the new track is the straight aways aren't long enough to car enough speed to the cross over...

Rog you should have Gary make the line spacing a little tighter than normal also!

    Semi-Pro race

Just about every semi-pro race might as well have run on a track like this. End results anyway! I don't mean anything, just saying!!

PS Roger having been one of the first few raceways to have a track like this years ago, if you allow rentals on this track, invest heavy in tape, body reinforcements and replacement bodies. I thought, I would make a fortune in replacement models, instead the racers figured out that by using gasket sealer inside the bodies, no matter how bad they cracked it, it would bounce right back like the body was made of rubber. The death toll on rentals was much more then model sales.
Track looks like a lot of fun anyways. Your crazy customers will love it!!!
Best race to hold is a run what you brung race. Cars must have a plastic model body any chassis or motor. Special prize to the person with the most interesting body. Guys built tow trucks with plows on the front. The guy who won built the Kennedy assassination limo. He stretched a Lincoln and had Kennedy in the back seat with Jacky O crawling off the back. It was really in bad taste but I could not stop laughing. Good luck with it!!

I had a great time at the Scale Nats last year until I spun the pinion in the last heat!
I will try to attend the Wing Car Nats next year.
Thanks for all you do for Slot Car Racing.
