New Pictures from Lou Pirro's Birthday Race

I have just got the pictures from our awesome camera mad Tony Moore. I just finished putting them up on the website.

Not getting the pictures to enlarge and some appear to be panoramic and some squeezed. Tried wednesday evening. Would really like to see them. They look real good. Fred

You need to have adobe flash player installed on your computer. It's a free program that you can download. Hope this helps.

Says link is broken, can`t get the pictures.

Links are broken here too. The window pops up, but all pictures after "Photos from Lou's Pirro's Birthday Race" are broken link, all before work fine.

Hey folks,

I didn't have any problems viewing the photos on the ISRA website. However, I'll setup a gallery on OWH and upload the same photos. The file size is limited and will affect the photos quality.... in other words...they won't look as good as the ISRA website.

Hi Tony!

I can certainly increase the file size limits on the OWH gallery.

I'll set up an ISRA USA Gallery. It could do double duty - be there for OWH readers, and Casey is welcomed to either link to it or even embed it in the ISRA USA site.

I had trouble getting the ISRA site pics to load - it was taking forever... probably because the pics were squeezed full sized images, rather then lower res thumbnails.

I'm also working on a major overhaul of the OWH site, as well as the Gallery, which will make the Raceway Directory, Gallery, etc.. much more integrated with OWH & the forums - so a lot easier to find & use.

Hi Tony,

I set up the ISRA Gallery & moved the ISRA Worlds & last years NE Champs (Lou's Birthday Race) into it.

I set up another gallery for this year's 2011 Champs. I increased the image size for the gallery to 640 & 1280, with thumbs still at 150. The 1280 should be about as big as anyone needs without scrolling around to count windings or laminations on arms (I hope!).

I was putting it mildly when I said the ISRA USA pic page was slow loading... it was still loading on my ancient Boeing surplus pc for about an hour, and that was after crashing Firefox on the last two attempts!

Casey - I know that must have been a ton of work to set up all those pics manually... but you outa make life easier & either use an automated program like Gallery (that's what I use on OWH), or maybe just put the OWH ISRA Gallery in a frame on your site (and I can give you a login also), or maybe Picasa or Photobucket gallery could be embeded.

I just use Gallery, and I have it embeded in the new OWH site (coming soon). One of the nice features of Gallery is, that it has an upload tool that lets you automatically upload entire folders, with hundreds of images - very fast & easy. For viewers it has all the usual photo gallery features, like slideshow, etc. The thumbnail pages really speed up the loading.

P.S. The weather here is HOT... always... but it also rains a LOT. At least when it rains it POURS for a few minutes, then it's sunny again!

DOH! I thought you already knew about that! And after all the thousands of pics you've uploaded...

Click on the Album (for now, the "no thumbnail" link), then click "add items", then click on the "Windows XP" tab. Download the Install Registry thingy & run it (only need to once). From then on you can open "My Computer" navigate to & select an entire folder with tons of pics, then select "publish this file to the web". You'll need to login to Gallery, then select the correct album... then hit "publish" and go get a cup of coffee. It's very fast & super easy!

I have Adobe Flashplayer 10 is that outdated? I checked back on the ISRA just a little while go and the only pictures I can't get are from Lou's Birthday race. You have a problemo. Fred
