Following is a list of known links to online sources for various slot car racing organization rules (copied from a previous thread).

If your racing club or organization has published rules, and you would like it added to this list... please post a link in this new "Rules" forum and I will add your link to this top sticky thread list.

Unfortunately, most raceways tend to have their own "house rules", or run slight variations of existing rules, often making it difficult to know the exact rules, let alone to travel between different tracks without rebuilding or buying new cars.

So there is no "one and only" source of slot car racing rules.... so the best source is your track owner, for your local racing rules.

Many local raceways use USRA national rules - some have a few local variations or exceptions, and many have a favorite local or regional class or two added to their weekly or monthly racing program as well.

That being said - here is a list of links to several 1/24 scale commercial raceway / major racing organizations sets of rules:

Links have been updated to the most current rules available in the top post, and added SCRRA & Jail Door rules.

If your racing organization has rules that are not listed here, or if you have updated links, please post info here and I will update the links in the top post.

    Thanks!

    Another HO Rules link...

The Fray in Ferndale Rules (huge annual marathon T-Jet tournament on 9 tracks in NorCal)

    http://thefrayinferndale.com/rules/

I've got a bunch more... just need to go through them to weed out the dead links...

    Thank you.

Do you have any single recommendation as the most recognized and universal rules? Something like a USRA standard?

Universal Rules??? In slot car racing???

Now there's a concept that has certainly been discussed and debated for many years... (but a topic for another thread)

Unfortunately... slot car rules being universally uniform is about like wishing Windows & Mac OS were compatible.

"Different stokes for different folks" - as the old Honda ads once said (and the song).

For the purpose of this thread... I'm just trying to compile a list of links to all the various slot car rules I have run across.

There HAS to be something that serves as a base or foundation to work from. I mean..... I use USRA or Midsouth for other classes. HO doesn't have an equivalent?

For HO... I believe the 2 links that Prof Fugly posted in post #5 are 2 of the larger HO organizations.

I used to race with HOPAC in the Seattle & Portland areas... which was run by Gary Beedle of ScaleAuto & BSRT...
but their page seems to be missing now.

I think that HOPRA may be the largest HO org... with a huge annual HO Nats

    looking for link...

I just found a link to HOPRA:

    http://www.hopra.net/

    HOPRA Rules:

Thanks. That's a place to start anyway.
I just don't want to be way out there doing just a local thing. Our racers need to be able to take their car and race in other places if they move or travel.
We need to have visitors able to race here too.
And I don't want to make a bunch of changes after a month or two.

Talk about contrary rule sets: Drag racing

1/24 scale used to be the SDRA National rules and the last revision that I have seen is at least ten years old. Some can call these stabile and other might consider them obsolete. Since we have added a whole bunch of new motors, what are the thoughts of class organizations...or are we down to all bracket racing?
