    WoW ......just unbelievable !!!

Mikael, I tried as best I could to paint the picture, but I've come to the conclusion that, people are who they are. Maybe 2013 we'll have a better chance.

Awesome, great dates! If it were later in August nobody from up here could go due to school. I hope we have a good showing from Idaho now.

    Hello Mikael,
We had our normal Spray Glue 27 race last night at Bruhl and the Germans made it clear if the dates are in early Aug that they will not be coming. The only one that maybe go is Mario, he was not at the race last night so we do not know. But I dont think BP will be passing out any reimbursement vouchers to cover the added incurred expenses from the higher plan tickets. Racing against the best Europeans is not part of the plan.

I will see you at the German Open, and there will not be any racers from BP there even though the plane tickets are significantly lower right now to fly to Franfurt !! Maybe only Les and Skinner.

Jeff I would like for you to keep your thoughts to yourself. We made the schedule to what worked for everyone we could.

Please keep your personal feelings to yourself or on your own thread...

Sometimes it's better to keep your thoughts to yourself rather than be little the BP crew. We like to race on the track not online.

    Thank you!

Mom can you clear this bs I want this thread to be about positive minded people.

Also mikael we hope you still can come. BP crew loves when you come out

    Hi Robert,

Jeff has stated the concerns about lower air fares in previous threads, and so obviously Jeff and other potential racers coming from Europe are bound to be disappointed with the schedule. He is simply stating his feelings and has not bad-mouthed anyone. I'm sure he understands all that went into the decision - as does Mikael.

This is, after all, a discussion forum... and although I like to keep things positive... posting opinions is certainly not against the rules. If we all "kept our thoughts to ourselves" there would not be much to read here.

I'm sure that BPR made the decision based on what would be best for the majority of racers. While the 2nd week of August may cost more for Europeans, it might effect 6 - 10 racers traveling from overseas.

The chosen date earlier in August, however, may have made it more convenient for dozens of racers in the USA who had planned to attend if it was in early or mid August. This has been discussed at length, and I'm sure they considered both sides when making their schedule.

So... now we should accept the schedule and make plans. I'm sure that the BPR gang will be happy to help out with hotel & travel info for those planning to attend.

    Robert,
Maybe a'lil education in AMerican history is what you need, its called "Freedom Of Speech" and any American can exercise that right anytime they feel or disire to. Additionally, i've attacked no one and as Paul has stated this is a discussion board, so i'm only addressing those points previously discussed. Directing your attacks at others only further confirms/shows the poor sportsmanship/attitude of the BP racer which they've shown before since the new ownership(Does anyone recall the PJ Nats 2009, when BP didnt get the bid ??). You(BP) have made your decision. SO DEAL WITH IT. Like I said we'll see what 2013 looks like.

To further add to the irony, you encourage Mikael to come when you schedule around the highest ticket pricings. Please come race with BP, even though you have to travel the furthest and pay the most for plane tickets.

    hello friends
ofcourse i would like to have later dates for the nats 2012.. as ALL know by now....the airfare is extreme this dates..
but i understand and as i wrote before that this is up to the american racers to have a date that is best for them.
this is a big issue for me,becouse this is the reason why i have not attend to a nats since..2003!!!
but,for the nats 2012 i will for sure go!!
in the middle of june we are having our second child!!! but still i will go......
    i will explaine.......

2002 my first race in USA and nats was in buena park.....
i had never been out europe and raced so i had millions of questions...
i send a mail to chris and leonore the former owner of BP...
and just from the first mail from those most unbelivble friendly people around, i feelt i wanted to go!!
we arrived to BP and it was like that i have know them for ages!!!
they were just....perfect in my eyes!!
whenever i had some questions they were there....
also we had contact after that race.....
in 2007 at the worlds.... leonore told me that this was there last big race.....and so was the truth....when chris past away....one of the best raceway owner in the world, i was crying like a small child becouse he ment alot to me and my racing in BP...
so...i realy feel that this is my way to say thank´s and farewell to him....
so know everybody knows that i will attend to this race anyway....

also comming to LA and meet my friends over there..hey tore.....are we going to have a margeurita at the restaurant in costa mesa?????

jeff!!! i will see you buddy in bruhl!! i like that you have and you still should have your toughts....

It is unforgotten that a satisfactory date could not of been chosen to accommodate both the US people and the foreign racers from out of the country! I will really miss any of my friends from out of the country who are not able to come to the 2012 USRA Nat's. Especially my good friends from Germany.

We have choosen the dates that we felt would support u.s. racers, it is a decision that was not to hard to make, this is the u.s. nationals. We do not want to alienate any Germans, but can simply not bend to make a few happy, and suffer in domestic participation, its pretty simple. Sorry about the hard feelings, but there was no winning choice here.

Those are Great Dates Robert, Thanks for posting them so early!

Hey Jeff, I agree with Robert. Lets keep this thread about the Nats, and not about any unsavory comments you may have for the BP crowd and/or the dates posted. No Nats dates can accommodate everyone, So we have to do the best we can to get the most people out to race.

Hope to see all my friends in 2012 for whats sure to be another Awesome Nats hosted by BP.
