    Question Oiling the Guide Flag

While discussing a chassis adjustment with an experienced racer, I noticed he oils his guide flag (the joint with the guide tongue). I asked "you oil there?", he replied "you dont?" LOL

Is this something that was popular and no longer is, or am I missing something?

My thinking is that it works fine dry and that any oil will just be a sludge attractor and cause more harm.

Always use plastic guide spacers top and bottom of the guide and oil once on install of guide. Should be all you'll need...And always adjust guide so it centers with lead wires installed..
