That one laying around Saturday night was "new", but certainly not *NEW*! Unless Paul was wearing a wig! Man, that was strange seeing the younger Paul. At first, I didn't even recognize him!

I'll bet there's some good reading in there. I didn't get a chance to browse through them while we were there. Maybe next time!

Yeah. I really miss Paul Meiers "slotcar bulletin"... That was I think the best slotcar magazine. I have dam near every copy from 1995 till around 2000-02,and still have them on the back of the pot for great reading...LOL....frank still has four issues on ebay right now...!

Was the slotcar Bulletin the name that was given to the slotcar magazine ONTRACK?
All my went in the thrash, still have the 1st one.
What I miss were the tech sheets, all ways wanted to know what was being used, never helped but it was fun tracking down new stuff to try.

    Nick:
SCB was the brainchild of Paul Meiers, he is also one of the founding members of the Tri State ISRA. Paul's magazine was the greatest, he put alot of time and effort into his passion and it showed w/ the quality of the work. Paul was not afraid to call it as he saw it, that is one of the better aspects. His editorials, like them or not got us all talking about racing. I remember when he first started the mag and he said that he wanted a mag that would serve the racers better w/ great info and tech articles.

Nick, I believe that was called "Slotcar Enthusiast."
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

I have every issue and multiples of a few and am glad I saved them. It was a well done magazine, I especially loved his Nats issues you could really learn a lot from the pictures, tech sheets and descriptions. I was totally bummed when he stopped publishing it.

Paul was a great ambassador for our hobby. I only wish he would have charged us more per issue or subscription so he could have stayed in business longer, that and he would have been in better health.

    I sure miss them!!!
    Sincerely,

The first issue or 2 of Slotcar Enthusiast was called ON TRACK. Problem there was there was already a Mag called ON TRACK so Theresa ??? (I think that was her name)

I have a bunch of old SCB magazines, and a ton of SARN magazines. These are from the early 90s. Does anyone collect these?
