    Tri-State ISRA question...

Ron Hershman of Fast Ones just released a new Falcon-style motor called 'The Demon'... Longer brush life... increased performance/brakes... $12.00 price tag.

Any possibility that Tri-State ISRA would consider approving this motor for its its Indy Lite, and B-Production Lite classes?

    Pretty please...

Trinity has also introduced the the same motor (Evil 9)...

Reports are these new motors are similar in speed to the Falcon/TSR FK motors, with better brakes and longevity.

Would be a perfect fit for Tri-State ISRA. Just saying...

I was just getting used to changing out my Hawk7 every other race too!

It looks like it has promise and a future in the handout class.

I thought that was a joke, are they really selling those?
Why not support Hershman and Trinity instead?

Hmm both seem to be marketing to the dark side of racing. Maybe they should be sponsored by the Jersey Devil the baddest flat track in NJ.

Oh joy... A better (maybe) class of crap. And Fast Ones marketing a "tamperproof" motor...

    Larry,

From past experience, whatever you guys do, just allow one of the motors. I have no experience with this new motor, but I can tell you that it's not a good idea to allow more than one. Also, all of these motors last longer if they are not geared too high. In GL ISRA we ran falcon 7s 2 years ago, and they were fine, and falcon 7s last year, and they were also fine.

We absolutely did not experience the one motor per race phenomenon (with either motor), more like 3-4 races/motor, but I think we gear lower.

Agreed, the FK motors live much longer on the flat tracks.

The new ones, with bigger brushes, appear to be a better mouse trap. Many last year were getting inconsistant Falcons. And if the 'new' version are indeed 'tamperproof' it would possibly eliminate the 'Chicago Falcons'...

In IRRA FK retro classes, there are motor choices. Why not in the limited ISRA 'Lite' classes that Tri-State runs? There are no mandated Open 12 or C-can motors in Tri-State ISRA...
