Is any group running the Anglewinder class?

SpeedZone in NJ just had 20 entries during their Fall Brawl. Very fast on their Gerding King. And NO MOTOR SEAL!

Don, Mason Dixon retro will run it at their March race at the TRACK, perhaps we can convince them to race it in January as well.
There are "Racers" and there are "Talkers".....which one are you?

The Ohio Retro Series has run an Anglewinder class for a few years now. Bill

I need the latest rule set. The IRRA site does not say RetroPro.

I heard they were unsealed, 12 arms, bearings all around, sticker fronts, no minimum weight...that would be dope.

Go to a D3 Retro site for rules. Fronts are 1/2" min. on solid .063 axle. Not sure but I think rules are under developement and adjustment.

Don go to the slot car "Rules" thread on OWH and look up So Cal D3 rules and SCRRA rules. What you are looking will be under Retro Pro. There is even a legal body section with pictures so you can get an idea of what body looks promising. I think most are running the Porsche 917 or Gulf Mirage. I'm sure others will work. I believe the Retro Pro that the Mason Dixon is running is based on the So Cal D3 rule set. I'm sure Roman will correct me if I'm wrong.
I've done so much with so little for so long it seems like I can do anything with nothing at all.

Thanks Bill. That's the thread I was looking for. Tom (Stewart?) at Mimi's told me there was a hotter anglewinder class brewing but I couldn't find the rules.

    Fred? Anglewinders at noon?

I went back through some of my older brass and wire chassis and found a couple that look promising for Retro Pro. Maybe an anglewinder noon showdown is not out of the question.

How about Retro Wing Cars with old style Group 15 Chassis?
I heard a rumor about this with ProSlot Big Dog Motors.
You could run 12`s on the Gerdings.
