Once and for all, what is the difference between the Falcon 7, the Evil and the Demon? Aren't they made to the same specs? From those that have used them, are they faster than Falcons? Do they last longer than Falcons?

What are the pros and cons between them and Falcons?

    Thanks...

Evil and Demon have less winds.
They last about the same as a Falcon 7.

Mike, I have never used a Falcon but both the Demon and Evil 9 seem to be about the same and perhaps equal to or a little better than a Parma 502. My question is about the Hawk 7, is this motor about the same? I raced against a couple of Hawks in the last oval series race in PA, however, I do do not know if they were faster or slower than my Demons. I know of a track in NC that has based their complete racing program around the Hawk and they seem to be very comfortable with it and the fact that they can replace brushes with better ones and perhaps cut them both to better match the comm and make them narrow for more RPM. Any help would be appreciated.

The Hawk 7 is a sealed, FK type motor. It is not rebuildable.

The Hawk is a different motor with a removeable endbell.
It comes in ceramic, and neo-mag versions.

There are numerous threads floating around the internet on these motors.

I guess all that matters is finding a series that runs what you like best.

Mike, my bad on the difference in the Hawk v Hawk 7 issue, as I stated I have not run a Hawk only demons and evil 9s. The tracks that I run have opened the rules to allow the Hawk 7, Demon and Evil 9s along with the Falcon. Since they run all four I was wondering if the Hawk 7 was the same as far as winds and speed as the Demon and Evil 9. I have returned to Slot Car Racing after an extended time and when I left the local tracks all ran both C & D can motors, the complete FK style motor is somewhat new to me.

    Row, row, row your boat.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

The FK motors are another example of the De-Evolution of our hobby IMHO.
But they are probably here to stay.
The Hawk 7 is a faster motor than the Demon and Evil 9 on most tracks.
It has less winds or bigger wire, not sure which but I know there is a thread out there somewhere that will confirm this.
    Welcome back and have fun.

    Mike,

Don't forget that the Hawk 7 motor is also lighter and also aids handling.

Have the poor lil motors been lost at sea or what?
Its obvious they have not been produced yet... the other importers dont seem to have any issues getting their motors.

    Can you substantiate this claim?

    If not, apologize.

Substantiate they have been and I will. They have been on the way since March... then May... then June... even the slowest boat from China does not take that long.
