BUCKEYE RETRO SERIES



WELCOME

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the all new Buckeye Retro Series (BRS) for the 2013-14 racing season.

We feel we have created a series that uses a racer friendly rule set, and one that will be contested on five exciting and challenging tracks in the state of Ohio. The initial BRS season will offer twelve (12) races, and provide competitors the opportunity to vie for three (3) separate championships. Additionally we are planning a Super Event Special that has the potential to become retro racings biggest and most spectacular event. Other exciting things are also in the planning stages, so stay tuned!

The BRS is aware that there are other Retro series and organizations staging races in Ohio and neighboring states. To that end we have pledged to NOT apply pressure, or ask racers and tracks to ‘take sides’, or support one particular series or racing organization. In our opinion no track, series or organization ‘owns’ the racers! You will never receive a phone call, PM, or e-mail from us asking you to take a particular side on an issue. Everyone is welcome to compete at BRS events, regardless of whether you compete in one race, or all of them.

BRS… ‘The Series of Champions’

• The BRS will consist of a North Championship and a South Championship, along with an overall BRS Championship.

There will be a total of six (6) countable races awarding points in both the North and South championships. A racer must declare they are participating in either the North or South championship in combined BRS point races. One race drop is permitted in each championship.

The overall BRS Championship will be determined by a racers best eight (8) finishes using both North and South races.

North racers must compete in two declared South point races to be eligible for the overall BRS Championship.

South racers must compete in two declared North point races to be eligible for the overall BRS Championship.


• All BRS events will be conducted under IRRA LLC rules and procedures. See all rules at: retroslotracing.com

• Formula One/Indy Car and Can-Am classes will compete and be awarded points at all BRS races.

• An additional third class may be designated and added by individual tracks hosting BRS events.

The designated third class will race after the BRS F1/Indy Car and Can-Am classes.

BRS points will not be awarded to any third class.

Individual tracks will be responsible for the management of any third class raced at a BRS event. IE: rules, procedures, tech etc.
