Why don't they allow all of the sealed motors? Seems like they allow all sorts of scratch built chassis, bodies, tires.... they should allow the same in the motor dept....they all cost the same....and they all last about the same

Because RETRO is ALL ABOUT the CHASSIS!! It's NOT ABOUT the motors!! That was the WHOLE POINT in the design of the class--NO motor building---ALL chassis building!!

I agree in part and for the most part except the BP King track, were there is no weight limit. Percentage of motor impact is much higher. The deal with motor availability is a no brainer. If I (we) show up at BP after 3.5 hours of drive time and our motors are illegal because they're not available anywhere, then there should be some concessions. From what I've read, the Trinity and Demon motors are pretty much in line with F7 performance with the Hawk 7's doing another 1.5 tenths faster. At least until the boat arrives in San Pedro, let the other (2 comparable) alternative motors race. I won't be showing up anytime soon until this issue is resolved.

Sure Retro is a chassis class and not about motors, two people ran Hawk 7 ? Bout of this racers have raced with S.C.R.R.A before and they should know the rules by know!
If not its on line for you to check out.
Maybe I should say that's how you break the rules I did not know, either way I will say we should only race with motors that are available for every one to buy to make it fair.
If that is OK to race with motors that you can't buy we should be able to race any sealed can motor like Evil or Demon as well Hawk 7.
Enough with this stuff, time to finish of the race report.

    A-main with a twist!

Well this was interesting race, not due to the fact that I was watching the A-main racers, face it some of them just had it dialed in that day and some of them where lucky.

The reason that Cukras was standing in for Jason was he moved up to A-main and he did not have time to take a photograph, he need to get a new motor in his ride.

    Line up of the rides.

The Peanut gallery, ops did I say that? I guess I did.
Well some of the A-main guys in A-main, left to right we have....Alex, Tj, Jason, Ben Sr. Jerry, Warmack, Ben Jr. and Mill Conroy.

Race director for this race was Bill Vanderziel, thanks.

Of they went and we had a crash?

Cukras had to share some funny stuff after the crash to the racers.

    Back to racing.

Next the rest of A-main F1.

    Rest of A-main F1.

Then we had the Vanderziel glitch and every thing stopped, we where in the third heat and this happened we could not restart the computer?????
    The looks of the guys.

Greg working on it that took about 45 minutes or more?

Have to say that we where starving for food at this point. Yea they sure look like they are starving?

I tried to get the guys to get over to Imperial Burger to eat instead of watching Greg flipping out!
Let me tell ya it was not easy to get this guys to leave the place.

Hopefully the rest of A-main F1 race?
