    Some homeless guy?

    Some short kid?

A racers that always puts cars back on really slow?

I don't want any of those guys marshalling. Not enough marshals? Run crash & burn.

A homeless guy that does not kill dogs ... Puppy or other types ... In the "Bank"
Put the short kid in the middle of the Donut.
Put the slow guy in when you have the sit-out.

Sometimes races are about to begin without enough turn marshals present. Then whomever is nearby may be asked to turn marshal. The persons listed above are sometimes your options. Racing needs more participants overall. But we make due when necessary. Races are sometimes not run because there are not enough support staff (race director, turn marshals).

Scott, I might give the short kid a stool to stand on, but the other two are about as useless as a blind person. If you're trying to race an 8-car field with these pick-up marshals, split up your field to run four at a time. That'll give you four marshals every heat. If you only got four race entrants, you don't have enough to race.

Mr Space Bar (aka Track Call) works well for us when we have insufficient marshals

I agree, because nobody in their right mind would select #3 if options #1 or #2 are available.

It didn't make sense because it referred to "racers" which is the plural or what I think was intended - racer

I can't tell who is the better turn marshal, but I can tell a great story. One time, I was at a HO race when two or three cars crashed in my corner. I was putting them as fast as I could when one of the racers yells "NO, RED FIRST, A**HOLE"! There was a moment of silence...then, we busted out laughing. The guy was so embarrassed about what he blurred out.
