Thanks Mic!
How about braid recess on each track..thanks...
Did I see it correctly ? Are hand out motors being handed out on Saturday ? Not really fair to those coming Sunday only.
Speedzone will host a Garden State Isra/Usa race Sunday 4/19/15. This will be a good chance to get practice on the tracks in race conditions. Also note they will be running Jrl instead of their normal B-Production class for the Usra racers that like to run Jrl. Thank you and cant wait to see everybody. I copied the announcement and rules below.
Garden State Isra/Usa Championship Race @ The Speedzone, Mt. Holly NJ on 4/19/2015
The Garden State Isra/Usa Series is please to announce our annual Championship race on 4/19/15. This year it will be held at the Speedzone, My. Holy NJ. This race will celebrate our Champions, racers and season. this year will be a little different though as we will be working with the Speedzone because of the Usra Nats. As a request from the Speedzone management we are going to run Jrl instead of B-Production. This race will also help anybody who is coming in for the nats get some racing time on the tracks right before the Nats start. So check out our schedule below and come join us for some pre nats racing.
4/19/15 Raceway Opens 8am racing starts 10am
1.Spec Lmp $8 entry (engleman)
2.Gr10 $8 entry (Engleman)
3.Jrl $10 entry (Jersey Devil)
4.Open Gr12 $12 entry (Jersey Devil)
Pit Pass $10
If we choose not to participate in the ISRA races, can we practice and test our USRA cars between races? In other words, we need to set up the three eurosport classes. Do you mind if we are running sub four second laps while racers are warming up for JRL? It'll be tricky, but I'm flying 3000 miles for the USRA Scale Nationals. I was expecting two full days of set up and practice before the USRA race starts on Tuesday. Racing in ISRA is not the same as practice with set up and testing cars. This is excellent warm up for local racers, but lacks consideration for racers who pay big bucks to fly to the USRA race.
George you will have 2 full days of practice your Eurosports because the Nats does not start til WEDNESDAY April 22, 2015. So you will have all day Monday and Tuesday to Practice..

Also for anyone coming in that needs to setup and test their cars there will be a lot of open track time for both tracks because the Garden State Isra/Usa Series races on both tracks. We run 2 classes on the Engleman first and then the last 2 on the flat. So going by past experience the flat track will be all clear for any type of testing from 8am til about 1 or 2pm with a purchase of a pit pass of coarse.

I would agree with George. I also planned to arrive for a practice day on Sunday.
Being unfamiliar with the track, jumping right in to a race for me would not be the best use of my practice time. Especially seeing as the flat track races are not anything we are running. It just adds more prep time getting ISRA cars ready when the prep time could be better used for the Nats.
I think announcing this race after many have already made travel/hotel plans might not have been the best move only 2.5 weeks ahead of time. I myself have never run the Jersey Devil and had hoped to get testing time for the vaious classes I will be running during the Nats. This should have been diclosed a long time ago so people could plan accordingly. Just my 2 cents....

Robert, good to hear from you. Don't get me wrong about ISRA, you know I have flown back to race your ISRA Nats a couple of times. I like your organization and the guys as a group. Something I think you might not have taken into consideration is the time difference. Racers like myself who fly three time zones, the race schedule is kind of against us. You make a good point that the track is open for practice from 8:00 to around 1:00 or 2:00. If we fly in the day before, 8:00 is 5:00 for us. We have to get up at 4:00am our time to get to the track and start setting up. At this point, my plan is to try to sleep until about 9:30 or so, get some breakfast and arrive at the track around 10:30 or 11:00.
I just wish you guys could move your race to Saturday. It would be a true courtesy to make that change for the sake of the long distance racers. I think most of us plan to work on Friday, then travel on Saturday. But, if this race date announced just today is now set in stone, so be it. It's really unconventional to schedule a race day right before a national championship.
See ya in a few weeks!
Is there any sort of membership fee for your ISRA series or just the entry fee per class? Only interested in racing the 12s
