FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE …

ANDERSON, IN … Fast Ones, the leading motor service center in retro racing, has announced a special promotion that will reward EVERY racer participating in the Inaugural All Star & Invitational Race at Rt. 93 Raceway in Akron, OH on March 1-2 with FREE refurbishing services.

The Anderson, Indiana-based company will present a voucher (valued at $20.00) for one full Pro Slot ‘Puppy Dog’ refurb to every competitor who submits a paid entry during the two-day All Star & Invitational event. The vouchers will be awarded in both the Formula One/ Indy and Can-Am classes on both days.

“Entry fees are $20.00 per race,” said Fast Ones President Ron Hershman, “so, in reality racers can get back the total amount of their race entries once they redeem the vouchers handed out at the races. This is a bonus for everyone … no matter where you finish in the race you will be a winner.”

“This is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the racers who have supported Fast Ones for the past seven years,” Hershman said, “we wanted to give something back to the hobby of retro racing, and show our appreciation for the support we have received over the years.”

Fast Ones, who has served racers world wide since November of 1994, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2014.

The Inaugural All Star & Invitational Race promises to be a unique event that will split the competition into two separate categories. The All Star portion of the contest is based on a set criteria that will have drivers who have won a regional retro series point championship, or a major retro race, racing against one another on Sunday, March 2. The Invitational race on Sat. March 1 will be open to any driver that has never won a retro championship, or an acknowledged premier retro race.

To add further significance to the All Star race, it will also kick off the chase for the recently announced Retro National Championship Series, a six race battle that will lead to the crowning of the ‘King of Retro’. Points toward the championship will be awarded in both the Invitational and All Star races.

Both Formula One/Indy and Can-Am classes for the All Star & Invitational races will follow IRRA LLC car specifications, procedures, guidelines and bylaws. These may be found at: restroslotracing.com
