BRS TO DEBUT NEW GROUP 7-68 CLASS

The Buckeye Retro Series (BRS) has announced that it will debut the all new RETRO Group 7-68 retro class at its North Division race at REM Raceway in Mentor, Ohio on Sat, March 29 and at the South Division finale at T/R Motorplex in Miamisburg, Ohio on Sat. April 12.

The Group 7-68 class will compete after the Formula One/Indy and Can-Am classes at both races.

The new division follows the general rules of the IRRA LLC Can-Am class, but will be limited to using only the recently released inexpensive, sealed Pro Slot 4002 FK motor, using a ‘spec’ eight (8) tooth pinion. The new class will also feature a specified list of 1968 Can-Am and World Sports Car Coupe body styles, and permit racers to use minimum .790 diameter rear tires with a .040 clearance at the rear of the chassis.
