Awareness Speedway Slot Car Club Fall / Winter 2014-2015 Racing Schedule.

ASSCC is releasing our fall /winter 2014-2015 fund- raising racing schedule. ASSCC is communicating with many potential sponsors to add special championship races to our fall /winter fund raising racing schedule. Membership will be required to race after January 1st 2015.

Saturday Challenge

Is presenting a 6- division Challenge on Saturday's to financially support our club's mission and to continue on providing our educational and safety programs for our special friends.

*ASSCC will open on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and we will be racing at 11:15 a.m. sharp or earlier if everyone is ready. Tech will be from 10:45 a.m. till 11:10 a.m. then no more cars will be accepted. We will tech all classes and race straight through with a 15- minute break between races.

*Saturday fixed* classes will be Old Time Modified, 358 Modified, 360 Sprints. Dirt Modified, Midgets.

Races will be 25-lap segments with each class carrying points for end of season point champions. The top three in points will receive wall plaques and box plaques. Positions 4-8 will receive box plaques.

ASSCC has a combined series champion point fund for our Saturday and Sunday series sponsored by Pa Rocket Chassis. Which will use lap totals from our Dirt Modified, 360 Sprints, Midgets classes from both Saturday and Sunday to determine the overall champion.
Top 3 in points will receive wall plaque and box plaque. Positions 4- to 8 will receive a box plaque.
This is to reward our racers who support both our Saturday and Sunday fund raising races.
*AS of 9-1-2014 the Pa Rocket Chassis point champion point fund is:
1st Place $125.00 gift card.
2nd Place $75.00 gift card
3rd Place* $50.00 gift card.
4th Place $25.00 gift card

The classes to be run in this order for Saturdays Old Time Modified, Dirt Modified, 360 Sprint, 358 Dirt Modified, Midgets.*

The rotating 6th class, i.e., (Silver crown, Street Stocks, 410 Sprints, Wingless Sprints, Lm, Super Sportsman, 1/24 Sprint, Super Dirt Modified ).

The Street Stock class is a crash & burn class. We are going to run 15-lap segments and have two races with total laps the winner. The other rotating six class races are 20-lap segments on Saturday

The suggested donation is $20.00 for all 6 classes Saturday or $6.00 per class entered.

ASSCC will provide free snacks and drinks.

ASSCC will open on Sunday morning at 11:45 am. and we will be racing at 1:05 pm. sharp or earlier if everyone is ready. Tech will be from 12:50 am. till 1:00 pm. then no more cars will be accepted. We will tech all classes and race straight through with a 15-minute break between races.
*Sunday's fixed classes are 360 Sprints, 358 Modified, Modified, Midget
These will be racing 30-lap segments with each class carrying points for end of season point champions. The top three in points will receive wall plaques and box plaques. Positions 4-8 will receive box plaques.

Awareness Speedway Slot Car Club would like to advise everyone that we are now officially a 501.(c)3 charity. I just received the determination letter from the I.R.S. We are now the only slot car club in the USA that is an official 501.(c)3 charity designated for intellectually disabled and special needs adults and children. This designation makes all donations eligible for a tax deduction when filing your yearly tax returns. We would like to thank everyone who is supporting us on our journey.. Our next goal is to raise the funds necessary to move our track to a public setting that will enable more of our special friends to have greater access to our track and exciting educational and safety programs .

Our new 501.(c)3 status makes all of our fund raising racers entry donations this year and future entry donations a tax deduction for the year.

We are switching our Saturday February 7th morning race to a evening race. Doors will open at 5:15pm and we will race at 6:30pm. We will do our best to be done by 10pm at the latest. We will run 360 sprints, Modifieds, Midgets and Street Stocks with a donation of $15.00 which is a possible tax deduction for the racer.

ASSCC would like to remind everyone about our memberships that are available at our February 15th race for our club for 2015 or anytime at the link below. Memberships are one of our major fund raising tools that are possibly a tax deduction for you. Like all other donations that we receive.

ASSCC discussed with our racers on 2-7-2015 and we contacted our other racers/donors with e-mail about how to make our racing fund raiser racing better and attract more racers to support our clubs mission and we have come up with some changes. ASSCC is changing our Sunday racing program starting in March to Saturday Nights. ASSCC has made some changes to the classes of cars raced to both Saturday morning and night’s and added incentives to bring new experienced racers to our fund raising races and supporting our club.

Our memberships are listed below with the various types we offer. We are not going to institute our pay to play program till we relocate the club to a commercial location.

to be able to continue providing our educational and safety programs for our special friends.

ASSCC will open on Saturday Night at 5:15 Pm and we will be racing at 6:30 PM sharp or earlier, if everyone is ready. Tech will be from 6:05 PM until 6:25PM then no more cars will be accepted. We will tech all classes and race straight through with breaks if needed between races.
Our Goal is to be done by 10PM

Saturday Night’s three fixed classes are 360 Sprint, Modified, and Midget.
These will be racing 30-lap segments.

The Street Stock class is a "crash & burn" class. We will run 15-lap segments and have two races with total laps the winner.

The other rotating two class races on Saturday Nights are 15-lap segments.
