After nearly 8 years, the G7 Slot Car World Record has finally been broken!

Petr Krcil of the Czech Republic turns a 1.374 second lap on the 155' King Track at AMDK in Pilson, Czech Republic at the 2015 Czech Nats - Feb 1, 2015.

I don't think 1393 is a world record, didn't Brad run more last year?

I thought last year wasn't a full field even though it was more laps.

Last year brad ran 1396 if memory serves me correctly.

My OWH King Track World Records chart has Vladimir Horky set the previous record of 1344 laps on 03/16/2013 at Pilsen at the 2013 Euro Champs.

I did not have a new record listed from the 2014 Czech Nats - so if Brad did 1396, then I'll have to find the race results to verify and add that one to my list, which would replace the one I listed from the race this weekend.

I guess I didn't update it on the WR chart because I did not see any mention of it being a New World Record last year.
(now I found a mention that it is a NWR in the following post)

skigolfmike - it was a full field up until at least half way through... like many or most races... Only 2 had dropped out by the last heat.

It was a year ago and I wasn't sure , but I thought that might be the reason. In any case 1396 & 1393 are fantastic totals. Congrats Brad.

Great job Brad. 1112 I heard in OMO which may also be a new World Record. Also a repeat in G7 at 1393, great run!!!

Thanks everybody. It was a very tough race with track conditions that were optimal for Qualifying (track was freshly cleaned) but the track was not ideal for my car setup this year. It was a very challenging race that I was fortunate to come out on top in both OMO and G7.

The hospitality in the Czech Republic is the reason that I keep returning. The entire AMDK crew as well as the racers are so nice, fair and friendly. A wonderful event on the most perfect track in the world. It truly is like nothing else you have ever seen or can imagine!
