Where is this newly opened track located? There may be some locals that can help you get started.

I got a Parma 2 Ohm and a 4 Ohm for them. The guys that work the track are going to help me get them ready to go, change tires and whatnot. The kids went to a workshop they had yesterday about how to hook up the controllers and how to drive around the track and are going to one next week on how to repair and care for the cars. Again thanks for all the advice and messages. Yall have made my research a lot easier.

Talk with the local racers they are usually willing to help out newbees with seting up cars and always are willing to impart an opinion on the best cars, controllers and tires to get around your local track.

    Hi Southern,
Do what Mike Swiss suggests just below this post...it solved the burned bands on Parma controllers for us at Hobby Town...Stuart worked with me and came up with one similar to 4 ohm resistance...They are durable and for the "newbee" who drives slowly they don't fry the last band...also, the ears on the modern flexi chassis are the front wheels....we were using Falcon 7's as rental motors with wing car bodies on old S7 gp12 chassis's......Geared very low so i did not have to repair them every day...Hope you and the kids enjoy the sport I love...

    Hi SimplySouthern,
Listen to Mike Swiss...Stuart helped me come up with controller for our rental cars at Hobby Town in Fresno...Your won't have to worry about popping the last band on the Parma controllers due to "newbee's" driving too slowly...The only time a resistor controller cools is when it's at full throttle...The Koford controller was great for use on our rental cars...Works just fine for pretty much everything until you get ready to be serious racers...
I thought I had sent something regarding this thread, but I don't see it, so guess I did not...I try and stay off the sites as for me it just wastes my time...
