So to answer watt I believe is your hidden question- "No, not all motors are created equal".
Did I feel these were a good option for a hand-out at this track? Yes.
I felt that these were a very viable option to use. Yes, there were grumblings (as always with motors) heard that ranged thru the usual opinions. I heard of a couple of "push starters" but didn't witness them. Joe's motor definitely was quicker than mine, how much of that could be attributed to car set-up I don't know as I never looked at his car.
Mine was raced with the brush springs on the wrong post, my blind oversight, but ran easily as a representative average motor. As Joe was in both mains probably shows he has good car prep and knows the ins and out of brush and spring set-up.
I feel these motors were represented with the typical bell curve type average. I would use them again for a hand-out race.
