    Bill,

The next race is January 30th. We usually have a race every two weeks, but its posted in OWH in Race Announcements, but not in Major Announcements (just the regular race announcements section).

I've had a number of questions regarding the Box Stock Race for MidWest Nats weekend. It will be the Hillbilly box rules with all ball bearings and a two motor race. If we qualify, it will be with a race motor on normal track power. Any tires are permitted for the race, but you will start with the same tires you qualify with.

I would think you guys would want to run it just like Tracy did. As the Europeans do as well. 16v qualifying and then two race motors.

I am not a big fan of Qualifying on 16V. I like the idea of race power and starting the race with what you qualified with. More accurate in seeding the mains that way. See you all in April!

The europeans qualify on race power of 14.3v NOT 16V for ESROC G12. Just so you know...

G12, 27L and OMO are qualified on 14.3v
    G27 and G7 are qualified on 16.0v

    Just to clarify...

We have a lot of races in a 3 day weekend. It just keeps the program moving along when we don't run qualifying motors particurlarly in Box. For those who haven't been to a SkidMarks race, it's more about the beer and having fun. Look forward to seeing everyone that can make it!!!

The place is becoming a distillery. We can learn a thing or two from the Canadians. The Southern boys usually bring up a snort or two for the Mid West Nat's.

I have an update regarding the tires for the Hillbilly Box race at the Midwest Nat's. The tires can only be Spec tires, non drilled hubs no larger than 615 hubs. My understanding was the tire rule was to keep the cost of tires down which isn't a bad way to go. Sorry for the confusion.

Tires in Hillbilly box will be a handout tire purchased at the track. Tires will be marked prior to hand out.
