Cheap Tire Truer

Hi all, I know we are always looking to save $ & I found a solution to those expensive tire truers. I used to be a hardcore RC racer & had several Comm Lathes (motor lathe). These are easily converted to slot car tire lathes by using a old 1/8th axle & a couple of used pinion gears (as a pulley) see picture. I even use the old carbide bit. It works great & I've cut several sets of tires with no problem. Best thing is these lathes are found cheap now that everything has gone brushless in the RC car world.

Just though I'd share the info.
