    I received a question.

"can more than one car be entered"

Thought it through..... and ..... don't see any reason why not.

So the ruling is - Entrants can send more than one car to compete in this proxy

Yeah, that's the ticket...I'm going to enter three cars, one for the drag strip, one for the Sovereign, and one for the shorter track(s). And maybe one more for the middle size tracks...yeah, that's it....

I see this as a radical rule change. So much for the challenge of designing a car that will do decently on all tracks. Don't have to worry about that gear change anymore. Do other builders want to be able to enter more than one car? Maybe if we only have eight builders so we can have a backup car or two.

Three would be a good number.
I don't think a drag car will do well on the oval. LOL
Considering this is about the cars ('the cars are the stars') I don't see how this ruling changes anything. Only one car will be 'decent or good' on all 3 tracks.
    See what I'm saying?

The challenge is the same only more cars doing it. Only one can win, but ... more can have fun ... and that is what this is All about.

Judging remains the same. If anyone wants to send more than one car, then it passes on-line peer inspection, I will update the entry list to reflect the number of cars entered.

Can't speak if any other than the gentleman who asked - or any others want to build/send more than one but I might consider doing a <- DoubleMint -> livery. I like the greeeen color and Kyle Bush too.

I had a question from a member about the drag track part of the 3 track challenge.

Not verbatim "...will this be a no glue drag race as these cars with any reasonable HP will be 'popping the slot'

Had a good discussion with Bill P. today and we agreed that it will be a 'no-glue' clean track except for the shut down area. We agreed the with the lowish car count that 'ever car - every pass' will have tires thoroughly cleaned with lighter fluid and rolled out to dry.

As I stated over on the other site Bill will have 13/16th through 1 1/8 (ProTrack, JK and Alpha are always there) tires on hand for anyone that wants to ship less rear rubber. Two Hudy's on site and can true to 1/16th ride height as needed. Over 13/16ths will be ProSlot. If you have a special request he said he would be glad to order them for you.

He is presenting the event concept and rule set to our great local racers and see how many will dig into their 'box of old' and join with cars. I reminded him of the 'test-ban' as we have done in the past. If any sign up I'll post their names in the 'entry list' post above.

We agreed on the 'all in one box' spilt the cost to ship to the next track.

    Any questions men ?

THat's funny Bob as I was thinking about putting on drop of lighter fluid on each tire on the starting line so the cars 'get up on the tire' and the revs. ... I'm a pretty sick person like that.

Al Gore would say I leave a large 'carbon footprint' ... and still do from time to time Click image for larger version.
