    Help

A customer brought in some of his old chassis and asked if i knew anything about them. Im not familiar with any of the retro stuff so i was hoping maybe somebody on here might be able to help. We're just curious what exactly they are and if they have any value other than scrap.

The first photo of the plated anglewinder is a Japanese built chassis that Champion sold. The second photo is a production chassis built by someone or some company. It's solder joints are done neatly. The last photo is a home-built inline chassis someone built using Parma brass pans & droparm. The motor bracket might be a Champion item. In the present condition, they're not worth much. If cleaned up, the first two might bring $20-$25 each. The inline maybe $10-$15. If these were my chassis, I'd clean them up & build them into working slot cars. Other motors might have to be used with the first two, depending whether the existing motors run.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

historic 1970ish drivers. Historic if owned by a name racer. Collectiblility is a matter of appreciation for the period.
