    Parma Caddy Problem

Ian, the Parma Caddy is not legal for the same reason the Parma Lola is not legal, wing size. In the PNW AMCA we limit the side wings to the Parma Magnum. We us the Magnum a s template and if the side wings are farther foward than the Magnum the body is not legal. The Pama Lola and Caddy sode wings extend too far foward to be legal. As for as body looks that's hard to control. Some people like the Bentlee and some don't but it works well on the Canadian White.

    Group 12 Motor Question

i am assuming that the smf endbell is now legal for all of the group 12 classes (g-12, irl, gt-12, c-1). can anyone confirm this for me.

    SMF edbell....

Wayne go back futher in this thread (don't know if it answers your question):

The SMF endbell is allowed in strap 12s only. They may be used in the Group 12 or Indy car classes.

    Wayne,

The 2003 rules are located here .

For Group 12 and IRL the rules state "Any production Group 12 motor allowed". Since the SMF is now in "production" I would think that makes it legal.

Six Of One, A Half Dozen Of The Other

one says yes. one says no.

i've already raced a gt-12 at an AMCA race with the smf production endbell. as the rules are written, it is legal. i'm just making sure so that when i test and tune a car, it is in race trim. i don't want to have to do a quick swap at tech.

I've been running the SMF can and endbell all season. They work great and seem to allow us to have more luck finding a good arm since we can use a regular C-Can group 12 arm instead of a short one. Before I went this way I could never find a good motor. Now at least I'm in the middle of the pack.

I think these are good for the class. If we didn't have them I would actually vote to get rid of straps all together.

    Just my 2 cents worth!

    SMS Endbell

    Wayne,

The SMS endbell is allowed in strap 12 classes (G 12, Indy, C1) not in C Can classes. If you ran an SMS endbell in GT 12 the tech man must have missed it.

Is there a rear body height restriction on :
    1. GTP/Ultimate Bodies
    2. JK LMP bodies for the Pro LMP race

It is not mentioned anywhere in the rules, and finding out before mounting bodies would be a good idea.

    Thanks Wayne,

I had heard 1 3/4", but was pretty sure there wasn't any height.

    See you Thursday or Friday
