For anybody getting ready for the American Flat Track Worlds on June 27.28 and 29th you can use last years (2002) rules. Here are the updates for 2003.

Bodies: O/S Bentlee legal
O/S 1/32 Reynard legal

The bodies you will want to run are th O/S Bentlee or O/S Mercedes in 1/24th. In 1/32 it will be between the JK Corurage for O\S Reynard. No " USRA big wing" bodies allowed.

In the Amateur LMP class you can use the new Cheetah motor along with the Falcon.

The SMF endbell is allowed in strap 12s only. They may be used in the Group 12 or Indy car classes.


That's it. Print out this post and the 2002 rules and you will have the current 2003 AMCA rules.

The 2002 rules disallowed the Outasite #066 Mercedes GTP body. However, an Outasite Mercedes GTP body is now being recomended. Is this the #066 or is there another part number that I should ask for?

the o/s 066I is the amca-legal version.

as lee pointed out, both the o/s 066I and o/s 068 are used pretty much equally. the only pse body still being used is the magnum, usually in g-10.

you can't go wrong with any of these.

I dont remember the Bentlee being so ugly in real life... So why is that little guy with the HUGE rear spoiler legal but the PSE Caddy not legal? Looks very similar to me... Anyways.. is that Bentlee better than the Magcedes? Ian
