Matt & Jim battled for the lead... then Rick Linn came flying by.
Rick was fast this heat... climbing from 3rd up to lead the pack.
Paul Gawronski won the heat... clawing his way back up to within reach of the leaders...

Jim in 3rd with Paul right on his heels reeling him in and catching up to battle for the podium,
and setting his sites now on catching the top 2 leaders.

Matt maintained the lead, with Rick in 2nd.
Paul & Jim battled it out for 3rd, both getting 83 laps,
with Paul on black lane & Jim on Yellow.
Both were gaining ground on Rick in the tough red lane...
setting up for a real battle in the final heat!

1/24 Eurosport Main - Results after Heat 8

Matt finished on the dreaded black lane... Rick was on fire on green,
reeling in Matt for the lead.
Jim & Paul on the same lap were catching up with Matt as well,
and then Matt must have hit something, as he suddenly dropped out of site.
Rick continued his pace, winning the final heat and clinching the Eurosport Nats Title!
Gawronski inched past Radford to take 2nd, with Jim just one lap back in 3rd.
What a race! Congrats to Rick Linn - 2016 USRA 1/24 Eurosport National Champion!
