Thank you, Doug.

Nothing in this but my nose.
Did Les's arms pass in Tech and were the motors sealed?
If the seal is intact, is the racer responsible for what happens while racing?

No seals on Gp27 motors, Mike.
Two motors are presented to run.
They are marked so it will show if taken apart.
World rules might be different than USRA.

Mike, the way worlds rules are written the arm must remain legal the entire race even if there is some odd coincidence that a lam breaks it is the racers responsibility to make sure their arms are legal before tech and at the end of the race. I am truely surprised that les's arm was short I thought he measured it when he was going through and loading setups on Tuesday.

Roman, I'm not sure where the worlds rules are written but it was mentioned in pre race tech. I don't 100% agree with that rule because anything can happen in a race land break hysol chips etc. I know where this is going and agree a racer cannot be responsible for a issue in the manufacturing process but the arms I have are all at least .445 long even though they may not be as fast as a .440 exactly I don't want to take a chance in tech. I'm positive it wasn't les's fault and was a defect in the arm being I sat right in back of Les and watched him check his arms before he loaded them.

Just for the record Les's arm measured .428 stack. It wasn't just short, it was real short. I am still trying to buy that arm from him.Do not think Les was trying to cheat, we all know he didn't make the arm. He is still responsible for his motor passing post race tech. He is not the first. Both Les and Chubby were DQed in Brazil for short stacks. To accurately measure the stacks in the setup is very tough. The only way to measure accurately is with the arm out of the setup. This can only be done post race.
Just to clarify I am not calling anyone a cheater, I am sure the arms made spec when they left the factory. These rules as well as race procedures need to be looked at and written down.
