    I had a motor with Champion light springs no shunts totally lose all tension .

    Higher timing, more amps, lot more heat.. Good use for shunts if in doubt. Low amp draw - moot.

    Ron, use spring insulation with your shunts too.
    I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

    If I could use shunts on a 4002fk I would.
