2016/2017 NEUSRA Series Schedule

All races will be held at Port Jefferson Raceway.

November 5-6, North East Nats

Track will open at 7:00. Tech opens at 8:30 then race OMG12 at 10:00. Practice for all other classes will be 60 minutes after the prior class is raced. All classes will be run in spray glue. All classes will be run as all mains. USRA rules with exceptions noted.

One Motor Group12 – One motor, no weight limit, pans MAY NOT be removed, Group F chassis not allowed. Amateur G12 motor rules. Gear restriction, 9/43, 9/44 or 8/39. SPEC tires. 3 on 3 off.
Hillbilly Box - SPEC tires, two motors, ball bearings all around, aluminum endbell, single magnets, no weight limit, may remove pans, etc. 3 on 4 off.
One Motor 15 – One motor, Gear restriction, 9/43, 9/44 or 8/39. SPEC tires. 3 on 3 off.
Expert 15 – 3 on 4 off.
27 Light – 4 on 3 off.

Entry fee for OMG12 is $15.00
Entry fees for Hillbilly Box, OM15, EXPERT 15 and 27 Light will be $25.00.
Track charge will be $15.00 per racer per day.
Payout is 40%; 1st-50%, 2nd-30% and 3rd-20%.

Dues will not be charged, but each member must register, full name, phone number and email address.

The date of the December series race has been changed to the 17th from the 10th.

The next summer series race is Sept. 24th. The Northeast Nats is on the weekend of Nov 5/6. Our first 2016/2107 series race will therefore be on Dec 17. We will be trying to race OMG12, HBB, OM15, Pro15 and 27Light in one day. In the past we have been very sloppy about start times, too much practice, too much testing and have seen the days run way too long and not getting in all the classes. Starting with the Dec17 series race, OMG12, starts at 10:00 sharp. after that when a class concludes there will be exactly 60 minutes before the next race. Track will be shut off and cars lined up and the next race run. There won't be time to test 20 motors, break in 10 pairs of tires and do a 100 laps on every lane. For some people this won't be a problem, for others it will be a major undertaking, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, If you need 4 hours to get ready before a class come the night before. Because you won't get it on raceday. If you can't race under those conditions don't come! A few people will be pissed off at this change but it will benefit everyone in the long run and provide an opportunity to run all the classes for a change.

For 27Light the Worlds chassis's are legal for the series, the North East Nats and the Barnburner. We are currently deciding whether to switch to TMO or stick with OMO.

Schedule change notice!!!

The December 17 series race is being cancelled due to inadvertent schedule conflicts. The first series race is now scheduled for January 14.

Next and last series race is April 22nd, the May race is being canceled. Attendance has been really bad and Doug can no longer give a free option to people to come or not. He can easily book multiple parties into a saturday. When he keeps a saturday free for us and no one shows up it costs him money. PJ is a business not a charity. If we get attendance in April we can continue, if not you will need to fly away to races, wait for the Barnburner or sell your stuff (to nobody, thats a fast shrinking market). This applies to the summer series as well. If racing isn't a priority to you it certainly isn't for him. If there are changes that would cause you to attend more regularly please post them here, any ideas will be considered. I am not interested in hearing from people who haven't raced the series.

Good turnout for the last series race of the season. Thanks guys for your support. We will be running a summer series in June, July and August. We will race OM15, Pro15 and 27 Light. Will be working on an actual schedule and will post it soon.
