    Wasn't trying to say that larger wire was better or faster or slower, just that it's unlikely a common multimeter is capable of measuring such a low resistance with any degree of accuracy. It would require a resolution of one ten thousandths of one ohm just to get close. Just saying that circular mils is a significantly more accurate way of measuring/comparing current carrying capacity in the absence of expensive instruments.

    My Milliohm meter provides resolution to 100Ω .

    I wouldn't be surprised if it could read the resistance of a bubble on a gnats @ss
