Great Lakes ISRA 2016/2017 Race #3

Ten days until we are back at Chicagoland Raceway for race #3 of our series.

Usual classes;
JRL, OP12, lunch, ES24 and B Production

Doors open at 7:30am with JRL tech closing at 9:30.

Hopefully all will have migrated back to the B Production specs as the need to combine the A Production cars together for ISRA worlds preparation is no longer needed. We won't stop you from entering the class with A Prod specs, but really encourage all to get back to the class that was intended.

Along those lines, I will start enforcing our rules and classes more strictly than I have been. As much as I like to see some of the experimentation and prepping for the upcoming USRA Nationals being done, running motors and bodies not included in our rule set won't be given a pass much longer. I think our body list should mirror what is run in USRA, but as of now that is not the case. Maybe next year!

Also, the new JK chassis will be legal starting this month, as was decided back in October when it was introduced. It looks good but not a game changer, yet.

Lets keep up the attendance again this month, it is really nice having a full track of marshals.

If possible, come out Friday night and help with the cleaning and running in of the track. Bring a friend!

The track shouldn't require any cleaning.

Brian ran a record, or a near record, in hardbodies, 11 days ago, and we'll be back on it, this Saturday night.

It should just need breaking in of a fresh coat of spray glue.

Working on some loaner cars today for a newcomer to our series.

Fast cat, JP Milcherska from JPM Performance Racing is making his way up to Chicagoland Raceway to join us Saturday. I should have cars ready to run in all but ES24 for JP.

Stop over and introduce yourself if you don't know JP.

We have about 12 or 13 racers right now, and few more may wander in.
