Koford Raceway Feb 25 Wing Race

The next race at Koford raceway is Feb 25.

The raceway will be open Friday before the race for practice starting at 8 am and staying open until everyone is done. We have a lot of races to run on Saturday and a large turn out is expected so get your car ready to tech on Friday as there will be limited time between races. Since this is not a glue race track conditions will be the same on Saturday as on Friday.

We will race Box, HB Box, G27L and Two Motor Open, and if there is sufficient interest we will run C12 also.

Rules for Box are: shunts and endbell bb allowed, 72gram minimum, aluminum endbells not allowed.

Rules for HB Box, no weight limit, any steel chassis (you can remove pans), axle and motor bb OK, aluminum endbell OK.

    All classes spray glue

The raceway will open at 8 am on race day with tech for Box closing at 9am.

Hi I'm thinking about coming to this race to run HB12.

It's been over 10 years since I raced G12 wings so a few questions please...

    1. Are hollow axles allowed?

    2. What will be the tire rules for HB12?

    3. Besides pan removal in HB12, can we also hack on the chassis?

    4. What will qualifying voltage be?

    5. Will cars be impounded after qualifying? I.E. start race with same car as qualified.

    6. What is the Color of track surface?

    7. How many minutes between heats? 3 or 4?

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

    Any Axle
    Any Tire
    Steel Chassis
    No Qualifying
    No impounding
    Black
    3 (I think)
All on spray glue, makes things very simple.
This is usually a very fun race. Lots of laughs and No BITCHING allowed! (unless you're bitching at Stuart!)

    OK, Good.

Just to be clear, We can bring our own tires then?

Not obligated to purchase track tires?

I don't mind either way. Just would like to know what to prepare...

You can bring your own tires. There will be tires on sale at the raceway.

    No speed rubber please.

The race is spray glue so I think if you tried speed rubber you would be off the track in every corner.

For the racers coming from out of town I can suggest two hotel that are nearby.

    Two blocks from the raceway:

    Budget Host Inn
    18760 OH-136
    Winchester OH 45697
    937 695-0381

    5 miles away

    Comfort Inn
    55 Stern Dr.
    Seaman, OH 45679
    937 386-2511

So far we have racers coming from Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, and I think Indiana
