Mimi's website says she opens on Fridays at 11.00. Wendell has assured me that he will have the track cleaned and glued by 15.00 so folks can practice.

    RD,

How did the test and tune go last weekend? Who was the fastest in testing?

I guess racers have one more opportunity on 22 Apr during your "warm up" F1 and NASCAR races?

For our out of town racers, what do you recommend as a good starting gear ratio and tire to try for each class?

Thanks so very much for all you do to keep slot racing going at The Track...

    Hey guys!!

The Track is racing Flexi F1 and 4" NASCAR this weekend (22 April) in preparation for the GB 1100 (20 May). There will also be a 3rd class of GT12s that are running.

Here is you opportunity to dust off those 1100 cars and get them ready for the GB 1100.

The Track opens at 1000. RD will have The Track glued and ready to race...

I have a simple question that should have a simple answer, maybe. I've noticed some racers using tape on the bottom of their Mossetti chassis. We all know that tape can be used to limit the movement in the chassis but tape on the bottom of the chassis seems to be serving another purpose also. Will the tape be allowed on the bottom of the chassis in the 1100? Most rules only allow tape on the top of the chassis not the bottom.
I've done so much with so little for so long it seems like I can do anything with nothing at all.

    Hey Fred,

I use tape on the bottom of my chassis to keep the lead wire from falling through (imagine that).

The judicious use of tape is no problem. Regards to Barb!

I'm looking forward to the 1100.

The warm-up race yesterday was helpful. I think it would help greatly if we ran these classes once each 1 or 2 months.

Word on the street is that this may be the largest attended race that we have ever had...

To try to get a head count, please let me know who is coming and if you are bringing folks with you...

Help Tony and I get a feel for how many folks are need to plan for...

    Thank...

I know you never travel without your own "nurse" and turn marshal...

Fred, Where do you usually stay?

The closest to the raceway is the Red Roof Inn or the Comfort Inn Shady Grove...

I'm local so I haven't stayed at either...

Hey guys, help a racer out with recommendations...

    Thanks...

If you use Priceline, choose "Express Deals", then "Gaithersburg" you can find up to a 3 star for around $60.00 per night.
There are "Racers" and there are "Talkers".....which one are you?
