2017 USRA Div 2 Nats - Scale Class Rules Proposal Voting Results

The following Scale Class proposals were voted on at the 2017 Scale Nats and ALL PASSED:

Establish a Max retail price for USRA Approved stamped and formed metal chassis of $ 30.00 USD and Separate pans and center sections can not be sold for more than a combined $ 30.00 USD of the two/three pieces.

In ALL classes that do not require front wheels, and if front wheels/tires are not being used, body must have sticker fronts on the body and placed in correct wheel arch/area for body being used.

Front wheel wells may be cut out or left clear. This needs to read as follows: Front wheel wells may be cut our or left clear if chassis has front wheels/tires.

Mossetti # 1051 Wire is allowed to be used. Can not be modified or have it's shape changed from production wire size or bends. Can only be used to replace the straight pins used in the brass or stainless steel tube.

Am GT-12 Must be ran on Banked tracks at the Nationals starting in 2018.

Am GT-12 class. Allow the Pro Slot PS-FK set-up with Pro Slot X-12 arm that fits the FK set-up in the Amateur GT-12 class. All current USRA X-12 arm specs would apply to this armature including stack length, diameter, wire size, turns, etc. The motor would use all the stock parts except for American made PS Big Dog tagged armature, optional P-S copper hardware, screws, can and endbell ball bearing(s), springs and brushes. "Silver" hard neo magnets would not be allowed and motors must used the "black" poly neo soft magnets. All FK motor dimensions would be added to the rulebook.

Am GT-12 class. Set max retail price of FK Set-ups at 12.95, max retail price of arms $ 30.00 USD , set max retail price of complete production motors at 50.00 USD. Freeze max prices through the 2023 Nats. No retail price increases until 2023 will be allowed and this rule can not be brought up for vote until the 2023 Nats.

GTP Must be ran on Banked tracks at the Nationals starting in 2018.

GTP class. Allow the Pro Slot PS 4002FK set-up with Pro Slot Big Dog tagged American made armature in the GTP class. If approved, Big Dog armature specs would be added to the rule book. The motor would use all the stock parts except for American made PS Big Dog tagged armature, optional P-S copper hardware, screws, can ball bearing, springs and brushes. "Silver" hard neo magnets would not be allowed and motors must used the "black" poly neo soft magnets. All FK motor dimensions would be added to the rulebook.

GTP Class.

4.5" Stock Car. Must be ran on a banked track or oval track at the Nationals starting in 2018.

4.5" Stock Car class. Allow the Sealed Pro Slot PS-FK 4002 motor in the 4.5" Stock Car class. Allow the PS Copper brush hoods and hardware to be used on this motor. May solder in oilite, change hoods, brushes and springs same as the 16-D motors. All FK motor dimensions would be added to the rulebook.

4.5" Stock Car class. If Proposal 2 passes, allow racers to vote on being allowed to unseal the PS-FK 4002FK motors and blueprint/work on them ( rebalance arms, cut comms, respace, etc ) using all the stock parts except for optional P-S copper hardware, screws, can ball bearing, springs and brushes. "Silver" hard neo magnets would not be allowed and motors must used the "black" poly neo soft magnets.

Group 10. Must be ran on banked tracks at the Nationals starting in 2018.

    Flat track for Eurosport classes?

There were more Euro 1/24 cars. I heard Doc Norris got his 2nd concours of the week and many of the Chicago ISRA/USA crew were in the B main.

And the word is "run", not "ran" - different tenses.

    "I ran to the shop"

"I shall run to the shop"

You do realize that the "black" on the FK magnets is just a covering that can be easily removed with paint thinner. The color of the neo magnets is really dark gray. I found this out by accidently trying to remove the magnets by soaking the can in thinner.
I've done so much with so little for so long it seems like I can do anything with nothing at all.

I guess I'll be in the expert classes. WTG guys. Make my entire motor program useless. What are you idiots thinking. Let's make it cheaper for the guys? How is obsoleting people's programs and making them buy all new stuff to be able to race making racing less expensive.
