    FITT tyre truer

I got one of these truers a little while ago. It's fantastic for cutting and coring donuts.
Unfortunately the drum that arrived had a hump in it where the abrasive was glued on.

The supplier wouldn't send me a replacement, only sell me another drum, so I was forced to fix it myself

I bought some new 120grit sanding belt, quality 2-sided tape, and removed the old material and cleaned the drum with acetone

Then I cut a replacement piece, stuck the tape to it, and fitted it. To ensure a good solid bonding that's got no high points I wrapped it in rubber bands and left it for a few hours

Now it's true and better than new

    That's a good one.

Sell something defective so you can make another sale to fix it. Lol

I don't think he has a website. The maker is in the Ukraine, its a difficult process paying as they have no access to Paypay, so it's T/T or Western Union and bank fees are about USD45 for me each time

The truer is made by Dmitry Vironov in the Ukraine. You can find him on FB but he has no website to my knowledge. Purchases from him are by Western Union only and it is painful. He is also the manufacturer of the inline gears that Tracy Brown sells as Go Fast Products.
