    Koford Championship

    The Koford Championship April 6-7-8.

    Koford Raceway is located at 1441 Dorsey Road Winchester Ohio. It is behind Koford Engineering.

    The raceway will be open Thursday before the race for practice starting at 8 am and the raceway will be open until late. Be sure to get your cars ready on Thursday as there will be limited time between races on race day.

    The best place to fly into is Cincinnati CVG airport. There is a Budget Host Inn about 1 mile from the track. Address: 18760 OH-136, Winchester, OH 45697 Phone: (937) 695-0381

    The schedule is:

    Thursday practice

    Friday G15, Box, H12, C12

    Saturday 27L, TMO

    Sunday G7


    Rules for Box are: shunts and endbell bb allowed, Oilites on rear axle, 72 gram minimum, aluminum endbells not allowed.

    Rules for HB Box, no weight limit, any steel chassis (you can remove pans), you can modify center section, axle and motor bb OK, aluminum endbell OK.

    All classes spray glue

    Qualifying will be on race power except for G7. There will be one round of qualifying for group classes and you will not be allowed to work on your car until the start of warm up. There will be a 2 minute warm up for all classes including G27L (in an effort to achieve a cleaner first heat). You can qualify on any lane you wish. G7 will be 16v on Orange and there will be 2 rounds. There will be time to work on your car after qualifying.

    The raceway will open at 8 am on race day, with tech opening at 8:45am, and closing at 9:00am.

    Races for the rest of the year will be as follows:

    March 10
    May 5
    June 2
    October 6
    December 1

    I heard from Beuf and he is planning on coming.

    Looking forward to march 10 race for a chance to dial it in before April championship race!!!! Me and mark will be there for both!!!!

    Are there going to be two C-12 classes? You have two listed for Friday.

    Based on racer feedback we are changing the qualifying voltage for all group classes to race power (14.3v). Also there were a few other questions that I have added answers to in the original post. You can qualify on any lane for the group classes. There is only power to Orange for 16v qualifying so we will qualify on Orange. There are no tire restrictions. There will not be time to work on your car between qualifying and the race except for G7. We will do a warm up in 27L to hopefully have a cleaner first minute then the last race.

    You don't want to miss this race! One of the best tracks in the country!!! I'm looking forward to seeing all my wing car friends and some great competition!!!!!
