Eddie Wood, and his brother Len Wood, of Wood Brothers Racing, the longest running team in NASCAR history, still enjoy racing slot cars on their own slot car track at their original headquarters in Stuart, VA.

Having grown up racing slot cars in thier youth, Eddie ordered the track as a way to commemorate one of the teams biggest moments, winning the 2011 Daytona 500, with driver Trevor Bayne.

What started out as a tribute, has blown up into a hobby that's fueled by memories of when he was a kid.

Wood Brothers Racing is an American professional stock car racing team that currently competes in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The team was formed in 1950 by Glen and Leonard Wood, hence the name "Wood Brothers".

Glen Wood retired in the late 80ís, and the team was taken over by his sons, Eddie and Len.

On Jan 18, 2019, NASCAR Hall of Famer and NASCAR racing legend Glen Wood, who founded Wood Brothers Racing in 1953, died at 93.
