    bench test power supplies

So...why is the Koford Power supply coming in at over $300 but on amazon when I check for a 12v 8A power supply they run from $50-$100? And the one's on Amazon seem to be good quality. What do we get for the extra $200? Is there a special Slot Car need that I don't take into account?

You pay for the Koford sticker. What? You think they grow on trees?

It is small and fits in your slot box. I have to carry my Gophert l0 amp in a separate bag.

Here is the l0 amp on ebay for cheap.

Or buy it here for $l83

Somebody has to make a profit.

What do you think this is? A free and fair society?

I sell the Koford to guys who want something they can get repaired in the future.

I buy cheap ones off of Ebay (not the Gopher) for local racers who won't spend $300, giving it to them for my cost, or $10 over, based on them having already spent money at the raceway.

With the last 2, I got, one was fine, but the other was possessed by the devil.

It wouldn't deliver power, but then all of sudden, kick in, and go up to 62V.

The seller took it back, but it blew up 3 motors first.

I'm just glad that my customer, or myself , didn't get hurt, when the motors exploded.

Swiss is exactly right. If you want a power that can be repaired,
buy the Koford or Wright Way power supply.
    JUST SHUT UP AND RACE!!!!
