Laminate Racing Surface ??

Is anyone racing on a laminate surface?

I'd like to hear thoughts on this as everything I've seen has been MDF of some sort.

Pros/Cons?

For what scale? I would think anything with a bank or twist would exclude laminates. I think there are some Formica laminate HO tracks out there but they are flat.

IIRC, Jim Radford, of Pacific Slot Car Raceway, has a Formica surface drag strip.
