LapMaster is great if you have the $$$$$
Hello Experts,
I've been using Slot Racing Technology (SRT) timing software on my 4 lane, 94 running feet, Grandstand track for the last 14 years without issue.
I've been COMPLETLY satisfied with how it works and that I can do everything we want with our weekly races. Sadly my old 486 computer seems to have died. Maybe a memory issue.
I guess I need to buy new software because its not easy to find a computer with a "ISA" motherboard slot.
I've seen "Trackmate" at other home tracks and COMPLETLY hate the interface!
Any suggestions on decent timing software?
Any thoughts about how to find a newer computer with an "ISA" slot that runs Dos?
Ross

Not an expert, but I recall that the card slot was deleted on all post Pentium motherboards. There might be an industrial CPU that operates in DOS. SRT ONLY needs DOS to operate. Printing could be another matter.
Trakmate has changed its interface in recent years and is now compatible with most laptops. Many older installations have driver problems with the serial port system.
