I offered my help on sunday morning when you were late getting things going. You were just in over your head. You had no reason to go off on me like that. Looks like you are better chasing people off than running races.
Mike,
You still have it all wrong. How could I expect you to get it right?
We were NOT a day behind. Yes, we were running late but, we were not a day behind! After the Expert GP-12 main was run we were ready to start Amateur Int-15's. We were right on schedule. I now see why you were soooooooooo all up in my face for the third time. How could you expect us to run a schedule around your work schedule? It amazes me that anyone would come to the Nats and expect it to run as quickly as a weekly race when we had at least three times the racers that a weekly race would have. The numerous complaints that I was referring to were for several different things. Admit it, you were already torqued off because we bounced you in tech! You were argumentative in the tech line and had been in a foul mood ALL morning. I decided that I had had enough of it. There wasn't anyone in the building that saw it any different. Next time I suggest that you take the day off. It just amazes me that anyone would think that we could have run that program in three to four hours. I think you are asking a bit too much. Could it have run faster than it was? YES! However, it could have NEVER been run on the schedule that you felt it should have run on in order to get you to work on time. Judging from your demands, I am not the one with the ego, and definitely not the primadonna. YOU ARE!

I just want to thank the Track for everything at Nats. And Jeff for all he has done. I had a good time and may have had a better showing with a little more rest. But you know when you go it's going to be a long week. We'll try again in Tulsa. Nathan will be able to make that trip,

I was at the Nats and I had to go to work on Monday morning also.
Looking at the calendar of events it appears to me that we WERE ON SCHEDULE. Yes it took a long time to get the Am Box 12 class done. There are LITTLE tweaks that could be done to make the program go a little faster. I am very happy with how things went.
The Nats are not unlike an other slot car event I have been to. There are hitches there are glitches but all in all things get done.
Jeff - I had a great time - some people dont know when they have it good.
What?
Hey Lorin,
Just wanted you to know that both Jonathan and myself missed you at the NATS. Heard you were really busy. Hope to see you at the Barnburner. Keep in touch.

Our thanks to Jeff for running a smooth NATS schedule. Anyone that thinks differently obviously never undertook such a large responsibility as running the NATS. Until they do maybe they should just leave well enough alone.
Chef and Zach
Hey Chef,
Well said and I second that. Monday Morning Quarterbacking is not the answer. However, I'm sure that the USRA team would be open to constructive suggestions for the future. Thanks again to Jeff, Skinner, Dave and Lisa for a job well done. Hey Bill, special thanks for helping Jonathan.

As you all know there are some of us that could not attend the nats this year, But I just wanted to thank all of you that made this one of the most exciting nats to date. I should start with the USRA Pres and his crew that tackled the task of running the some odd 80 GP12 and Pro GP12 classes as you did, what a feat. Roman, Mimi, Doug, Rick,Jimbo, for the race directing hosting and running of your great nats. To JP for adding the IMCA/European flavor and challenge to the nats. And to Paul and the OWH crew for what seemed like placing us on the fifty yard line out here in OWH land. Last but not least all the racers who put it all on the line to give us a SUPER great show. All I can say is thanks to you all. And if I forgot anybody "THANKS"
PS I hope to see all my friends in Tulsa for the Slugfest in October.
Ron
but for us newbies, rubes, dorks, dweebs, and hacks who look at the Nats as a Valhalla we can only dream of, may I also give thanks to everyone involved in bringing the results to the OWH.
I've never read a board with the same level of anticipation as a news report/soap opera before, but reading the race results has been a real blast.
Congrats to EVERYone involved, winners, placers, showers and everyone else.
Amazing.
