    Making the Main

    Ron,
I learned yet another valuable lesson this past week. Mike Swiss gave me some advice after the AM GP 27 main that I will take to my grave. " You can overcome a crappy glue job, but you can not overcome poor pit work " That says it all regarding my saga.

    AM 27

Ron, I had the same problem. After a motor change in the 3rd heat of the semi I went 3 laps and the motor fell out! Lost the whole heat! In the 8th heat I went 1 lap when a fresh motor was installed with too much backlash and took all the teeth of the gear! Mike is right.

By the way, anybody have any thoughts on why the turnout was so sparce in AM 27?

    Fred
