    JPVR,

Don't worry about the TSRF cars, we will have many top drivers present, and they should be able to tame the cars, it may turn out to be the best test ever !!

Maybe once we decided to run on a plastic track without magnets we should have considered different tires more suited to plastic track racing.

Anyway, lets lock a group of top racers in a room for a day and see what happens.

    Chris.

    Attention

Paul has not arrived at the track yet, and I cannot put post at first priority, or in another words, at the top of the slot car talk 5 list. So the results and postings of the Pro Open race are in the thread intitled Pro Open down a little bit in slot car talk 5. Same place as usual, just not at the top. Thanks and hope everyone can find it.

    Voice of reason.

"Maybe once we decided to run on a plastic track without magnets we should have considered different tires more suited to plastic track racing."

Thank you Chris for this moment of sanity. I am making a smaller replica of the Dison track right now (I found pictures on the Net) and will test both silicon and Ortmann tires which would be a lot more suitable than foam on the Carrera plastic. Even stock FLY tires would be more suitable than foam.

Talk to you next week about the Western States.
    Regards,

Philippe (still the Inventor of the Warm Water, I use a Lucas fridge)

still the Inventor of the Warm Water
    Hey Phillipe...

Is this whole "warm water" gag some Babelfish-induced reference to urine? As in "When it comes to my dream of true scale slot cars with very fast motors, blah blah, you, sir, are the inventor of warm water". Or, "To YOU, my good man, and your reprehensible behaviour turn marshalling, I am the inventor of warm water".

    Exclamation

    Hey Durl,

PdL's reference to warm water, " Philippe (still the Inventor of the Warm Water, I use a Lucas fridge)" is a plagerism of an old British sports car joke about Lucas electronics. The lights only worked in the daylight, the heater only worked in summer, and the wipers only worked in the sunshine. That's why the English drink warm beer.....Lucas Refridgerators. George Lucas....the Prince of Darkness. Etc., etc., et. al.
