Nathan's 505 was a new Am Int 15 Track Record at Buena Park Raceway.

The "World Record", or at least the most laps turned in the Nats, was at last years Nats at Port Jeff:

    Amateur Int 15 - Keith Bauer - 528 - Port Jeff 2001 Nats
    Expert Int 15 - Erkle - 532 - Prt Jeff 2001 Nats

    Oops! You asked about Boxstock...

A quick check with the Roving Glue Thugs from Port Jeff reveals:

    Amateur Boxstock - Brad Friesner - 462 - Port Jeff 2001 Nats
    (old record)
    Amateur Boxstock - Chuck Fredrick - 479 - Buena Park 2002 Nats
    (new record)

    Expert Boxstock - Erkle - 490 - Buena Park 2002 Nats
    (new record)

the new am box record is...

Brad's (ET) 462 laps at PJ in 2001 WAS the am box record. It looks like Chuck Frederick raised the bar (considerably) with his 479 lap total Saturday in am box.

Talking No change for us Tony

    Tony,

The new rules are only affecting the pro/expert box racers. Am motors will remain the same. An expert is a driver that has placed in top 3 in a national event. Next year, because of the new rules, it will only be the racer who places 1st in the AM classes that will be moved up. So keep building your motors the same way Tony I would also like to thank the racers here in Illinois for the nice words you left on here while i was gone. Boxstock was a tough race. I was sitting in 4th going into the last heat of the 1/4 finals when I decided to over glue black on the lead on. I only popped out about 75% of the time...LOL Oh well, I had a great time and met alot of awesome racers. I recommend the Nat's to anyone. Well cya at a race soon Tony.

    Ian
