OWH's "Almost Live" 2004 Scale Nats Coverage

OWH will be on hand this week at the 2004 USRA Scale (Div II) Nats at Raceway USA in Portland, Oregon.

The Scale Nats will take place beginning Tuesday April 13 through Sunday April 18, 2004.

As usual, we will have current race results, commentary, discussion, etc. (as well as the usual "attaboys") on the main Race Results Forum - but I will be reposting the main threads with just the race results and important info, less all the discussion, down in the permenant forum for Race Coverage.

We will also have links here to a special Scale Nats Photo Gallery, where we will be posting photos throughout the week.

OWH is proud to announce that Parma is sponsoring OWH's coverage of this year's Scale Nats - helping to make it possible to bring you news and photos from the racing, for those who can't be there in person, and those who want to follow the racing of friends and fellow slot car racers.

Not only is Parma sponsoring OWH's "Almost Live" coverage here, but we will be "mirroring" the coverage, via links and posted results, on Slot Car Illustrated . Many of you know that Slot Car Illustrated lends it's focus more towards the home and club racing enthusiasts. This joint venture coverage will help to bring exposure to a broader audience to share this major commercial 1/24 racing event with our fellow enthusiasts who lean toward the hobby side of slot cars.

Since my good friend, Alan Smith, of Scaleracing LLC has taken over the helm at SCI, we have entered into a joint goal of helping each other to promote all aspects of this fun hooby / sport of slot car racing.

I'm in Portland now, and I greatly appreciate all the help with the links, results, & pics while I was in transit!

Gary (GearBear) got a ton of pics, as well as Jawn, and Gary got them uploaded here at the "OWH Field Office" at the Best Western. There's no internet connection in the room, other then a real slot data port dial-up, so we've been on the DSL connection in the loft above the office in the hotel lobby!

The links do not seem to be working........I was able to see some photos yesterday...........but can not see any today..........There was only one pic of a euro car..............Are there any pics of what the am's and pros's are running in ALL of the classes............What kind of D Cans are being used............I heard a rumor that the only Can being used is a Kelly G 2..............

All the classes have not run yet! The Amatuer races just started on Thursday.

And - I have a TON of more pics stillto upload, but it takes forever for them to upload. I still don't have net access at the raceway, so I have to upload pics back at the hotel.

I also got anothe big batch of pics to upload and share from John Emmons! He burned his pics onto a CD for me, and I'll upload those soon as well!

I was having trouble with the links not working last night - but I thought it was just my laptop acting up!

Seems to work fine now.
