A real nail-biter - as Roy hangs on to pull off a hard fought win! Greg Gilbert put on a hard charge after munching a gear, luckily, near the end of a heat, to come back within 2 for 2nd, and Paul Gawronski made a huge charge to climb on the podium after breaking an axle!
Great racing on the challenging flat "Twister" road course!

I'd like to thank my BOW team mate Steve Forsyth for lending me the motor. I ran the same motor in the semi and main. I'd also like to thank my slot car mentors, Greg Gilbert and Monty Ohren for all their help the past few years.
It was a great moment for me. I put a lot of effort into the race and it finally paid off. The story of the race was basically that Paul G. and Greg G. crashed and I didn't. I have tons of respect for those guys so it sure was nice to have them congratulating me at the end of the race for a change.

Greg Gilbert congratulating Roy on his win.
Roy drove an awsome race. What Paul K left out was that for the first three heats Greg and Paul G raced side by side with the lead swapping hands by inches! Unfortunately Greg munched a gear and then Paul G broke an axle! When he got back on the track he was all the way down to 8th and almost 20 laps down. For Paul G to make it back to 3rd was simply some of the most determined driving I saw all week.
