Any tracks in Newcastle or Townsville, Australia?

I'll be travelling to both cities in the next month. If there are tracks there I'll pack some cars. Anyone know of any?

    Regards,

    Steve C.

    Arrow Tracks

Budgewoi is closed, the closest track to Newcastle is Hornsby slotcars, then Checkered flag raceway at Liverpool

I'm there for work for only a couple of days, and I won't have access to a car. I think I'll have to leave Horsnby and liverpool until my next Sydney trip.

How about Townsville? No tracks? Sounds like a good place to retire to and open a slotcar track.

Not likely. I'll have to work another 5 years just to pay for my daughter's 21st this weekend, and then my son turns 18 in a couple of months and expects me to buy him a car ('cos I bought my daughter one when she turned 18), and then he'll want a 21st in another 3 years, and it looks like neither of them will move out for 10 years at least because we've made the place too comfortable for them..... Hmmm, maybe I should run away from home and go to Townsville, and not tell them :-)

One good thing to come out of this party. Melbourne evenings in May can be pretty cool (like 10 deg celsius). I suggested to my wife that we'd better buy a jetfire gas heater for the party to keep the freeloa...I mean relatives warm. That means that after the party I'll have a nice new jetfire heater for the garage, where my track is :-)

    Regards,

    Steve C.

I know how you feel Steve my son left and then came back kicked me and my slot cars out of my spare room.

Orangepicker, Budgewoi was sold to Peter Van in Melbourne and then went to Lakes entrance last i heard it was closing.
