    Patience?

Mom is trying to get a full report out with pictures and he is doing an excellent job, but seeing the heats come up in "real time" but having to wait for the final is too nerve wracking for my delicate nervous system!

    Results First, Pictures later.

I hope Doug and Erkle show Jon the "sights" in Tulsa in celebration of his win.

    Hiya Charlie

    "Almost" Live

Boy do I ever have you guys spoiled!

The reason the final results take longer (for those of you who don't remember being at a race - or are too busy when it ends to notice) is that several things happen at the end.

1 - the cars remain on the track and the positions are noted on the computer (which takes it off of the results screen)

    2 - check for ties

3 - print out final results

4 - they have been gratiously allowing us (SARN, SCB, & OWH) to take the post race car photos BEFORE post-race tear-down tech

I HAVE to do the photos first - as they are waiting for me (not so patiently - as the results are still pending tech) so they can tear the cars down and make it official. Otherwise - I would have to wait quite a while to take pics of the pile of parts after tech.

Much better to wait a couple minutes - then trying to gather what's left of the car an hour later.

5 - this time - since I had the photos in the camera.... I had the pics uploading on Tony's laptop - while I'm typing the results on my laptop (and while everyone seems to be coming back here to ask to see the printout, tech sheets, or even to see it online while I'm still busy typing it)

6 - I update my results, add the photo links, and upload it

all this, while Joe & other NY buddies who couldn't make it, click on "refresh" about 10,000 times (there goes my web server bandwidth bill - right through the roof!) in about 5 min time.

I have to admit, I paused and considered grabbing some free ice cream they put out BEFORE posting.... but then I just imagined poor Joe having a seizure while waiting!

NOW I got my ice cream cone!

    Jeez Paul..don't get so touchy.

I was gonna get on the cell phone and post it myself, but Joe had everybody in Oklahoma on a cell conference call already.

P.S. What's Lisa looking at in that pic?

Hey Guys thanks for the congrats. It was a great race and I had some great help. I of course have to thank my mother for letting me go, my father for setting up the stuff and of course Larry, Tom, Erkle and Doug for the great help they gave me.

    Tummy Ticklers

P.S. What's Lisa looking at in that pic?
Charlie - I know what you're thinking, but no - I seriously doubt that Lisa was looking at my sorry backside.

She was actually playing with the Ford's rambunctious little Bulldog puppy - shown in the following pic.

The puppy would flop itself on it's back and loves to have it's tummy tickled.

So do I, but she's married.
