The 55 chevy at the SPring Nationals was mine-- I won class there back then. My brother Tom ran a 57 2 door wagon there and also won class. Tom had his 57 Chevy written up in Car Craft-- and my 55 appeared twice in Popular Hot Rodding with a cover shot in 1970!! The one in my post is a 2nd car I raced briefly in Jr Stock and then SS/T when the rules in NHRA changed in 72. I quite racing in 74 when the oil recession hit and took ALL the money out of sportsman racing.
Hi Tim, I noticed the image of the '55 Chevy in your post. I remember a magazine article in the late 60's about a guy named Tom Neja from Southern California and also saw him and car at the NHRA Springinationals in Dallas, TX. Is Tom your brother?
