VooDoo comm drops. I don't use them on comms, but they work nicely as braid juice. I've actually noticed a difference.
Robert,
I can't address any motor issues, but I suspect a little more information is needed regarding the roller. Do you mean setup of a fresh-outta-the-bag flexi or construction of a retro from...
Larry,
I can certainly see your point regarding potential carnage left by a lousy driver. I think the cars must be as bullet-proof as possible. But I believe moving the car to the next lane along...
I've seen IROC races use controllers provided by the track and controllers that are moved with the racer. It's a matter of choice.
The timing system has everyone's names entered and tracks the...
First of all, I'm shocked that I'm not listed! (Now that you've had a chance to chuckle...or toss your cookies...)
Anyone interested in trying to build a chassis should watch Steube's video. It's...

Lightly-used JayGee. As you can see, in like-new condition. Our track is open only one day a month, so my track time is limited. Very limited.
This controller has given me an incredible...
The grandstand will heat up once again with our monthly race this Saturday. Come join us.
First up: Flexis using new retro Hawk motors, 11/36 and Car of Tomorrow bodies.
Next Up: 7-68 Class as...
Come join us this Saturday in Abbeville, SC (a great town for slot racing, as well as a great little getaway if the wife needs some shopping or historic gawking). We'll be racing at Slots of Fun in...
We'll be racing flexi CoTs, along with retro F1s and Can-Ams on Saturday, Dec. 13. We aim to start racing by about 10:30 a.m.
Anyone who has ever raced at Slots of Fun knows that it's got one of...
I'd look in the school supplies section of the local Wally World and find one of those longer plastic pencil boxes, long enough for a ruler. It'll hold the controller/heatsink/wires and protect it...
Actually, the problem could also be linked to your browser settings in IE. Specifically, if your browser is set to refuse to allow certain things like "pop-up" windows or accept cookies, some sites...
We're glad to hear you're "still here" and we look forward to stopping by your raceway soon and finally meeting you. There are several raceways in that area of the state, so you might be able to...
That would be just my luck. Such a shame since there's certainly an interested clientele.
Bump.
Anything new on this matter? Inquiring minds want to know. ;-)
Or vice versa, Bob. Maybe if I were to connect my controller's red wire to the mic keying switch...
Since my first post on this topic, I've grown to truly respect the capabilities and the...
I'm hoping we hear more on this one soon. There are a lot of guys in the Lexington/Aiken areas hoping the track locates in this area. Combined with Rock Hill, Anderson, and Abbeville, we could...
And btw, I know a group of racers who are already holding their collective breath, hoping you'll come to the Aiken area.
Let us know if there's anything we can do to help get you started.
Michael,
Welcome to slot racing, and we sincerely wish you the best as a new track owner/operator. I live in the Lexington, SC area, about an hour east of Aiken and an hour and a half from...
Marty,
I just happened across this thread and spotted your handiwork. Very nice!
Do you find that a bender makes it easier to replicate? I've always felt that my prowess with a pair of pliers...
After reading all of the great advice offered in previous posts, it would be difficult for a novice like me to find something to add, but I think an important factor in flexi handling has been...

I couldn't agree more with the take it "off-line" comment. There are very passionate arguments on both sides, as you can tell.
As for hoods, Rick B. of R-Geo fame sells a hood alignment...
Both of the above posts make some excellent points. And I'm not sure that all of them can be overcome. However, some can. The newbies (like me) have to WANT to be a part of an activity. And the word...
